Since 2014, Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS), one of the top 10 exhibition brands in the Sichuan Province, has been delivering a highly integrated business platform to facilitate core market needs in Southwest China. It also acts as the fast lane for many overseas companies to tap into this promising market.

The 12th edition of CAPAS will continue to put together its industry and global resources in offering a leading platform in automotive industry for business, information exchange and investment.   •  Sichuan province produced a total of 262,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs) from January to November in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 142.6%, making it China’s third-largest automotive industry cluster.
  • CHANGAN Automobile, a prominent carmaker based in Chongqing, sources parts for its flagship models from 50 suppliers in Sichuan, reflecting strong regional collaboration and supporting the development of 683 partners within its supply chains.

  • Sichuan sold over 5,800 new energy heavy-duty trucks in the first half of 2025, ranking third nationwide and accounting for 7.3% of national sales.
  • The province has also established over 80 heavy-duty truck charging and battery swapping stations, along with more than 2,300 highway charging points.

  • The city’s automotive aftermarket valuation amounted to RMB 85 billion (approximately USD 12 billion) in 2024, a 12.3% increase from the year before. By 2027, Sichuan’s vehicle ownership is expected to reach 18.5 million with the aftermarket projected to total RMB 700 billion (approximately USD 100 billion).
