Players eye up opportunities in Southwest China’s automotive industry emphasised at CAPAS 2022
The Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS) concluded on 20 August 2022 at the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition and Convention Center. The three-day show saw an array of innovative product showcases and customised services. A collection of fringe events not only helped fairgoers achieve results that were more valuable but also spotlighted unique characteristics of the growing Southwest China auto industry.
CAPAS 2022 opens tomorrow with targeted services to lift the Southwest China market
The 8th Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS) will open tomorrow (18 August 2022). The three-day event hosts 407 exhibitors across 35,000 sqm of the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition & Convention Center. Prominent exhibitors include Faret, Huiyuan, Geely, Kain Auto, Rzoil, Sichuan New Energy Vehicle Innovation Center, WM Motor, Yingling, JAC Group, Yousheng and Zoomlion. This year, CAPAS will assemble industry resources across services that support business exchange, network expansion and regional investment. Targeted events also offer the latest market information to nurture opportunities in the automotive industry.
CAPAS 2022 returns in four weeks with a wide range of resources to explore
Rooted in the heart of Southwest China, the Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS) has an extensive network within the regional and national automotive industry. Owing to the last seven successful editions, the fair is now an established platform in the surrounding provinces for business promotion, information sharing and education. For the 2022 show, a series of events will energise the industry before and during the physical exhibition from 18 to 20 August at the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition & Convention Center.
Messe Frankfurt reschedules CAPAS 2022 and Auto Maintenance & Repair Expo 2022
In view of the evolving pandemic situation in China, the Government has escalated a number of COVID-19 prevention and control measures. To align with these efforts, Messe Frankfurt is rescheduling two of its Mobility & Logistics fairs in the country. CAPAS Chengdu will move to 18 – 20 August 2022, instead of the original timeslot (19 – 21 May 2022). In addition, the Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR) will be held in Tianjin from 23 – 26 March 2023 (in place of 27 – 30 May 2022).
CAPAS 2022 plays up Chengdu-Chongqing opportunities as Southwest auto industry hits the speed highway
Sitting at the heart of Southwest China, Chengdu and Chongqing’s integrated resources offer an important regional transportation hub. The strategic alliance of the cities aims to promote economic growth, as well as facilitate trade and development in the surrounding areas. In 2021, an investment of RMB 1.57 trillion (approximately USD 250 billion) also aided 67 projects geared towards establishing infrastructure across the two cities. These activities are accelerating the advancement of the regional automotive industry in a mission to become a world-class auto industry cluster.
